Alicia Adamerovich "Vibrant Matter"

The tableau is often my vehicle for desire, anxiety and the inevitable to take shape. I like to live in areas of tension and transition; to linger where feelings of the unconscious meet the familiar. I’m concerned with the darkness of “things” and anthropomorphism from a female perspective. I’m constantly pulling out and zooming into the scenes on a fairly human scale. The work is melodramatic and often reactionary in both medium and imagery.
