BWG GALLERY is proud to present SPIRIT WITHIN, a multi-disciplinary group exhibition showcasing the work of emerging women artists whose practices draw upon mysticism, spirituality and occulture. Bringing together a noteworthy selection of practitioners, the exhibition authentically engages with the wider cultural resurgence of alternative ideologies, such as witchcraft, as feminist tools of resistance against patriarchal subjugation. Through exploration of counter cultural, esoteric and occultist aesthetics and practices, these artists enliven a feminist discourse that looks to empowerment, de-colonisation, and symbiosis with the natural world.
